Locksmith in Oberhaching

Oberhaching lies south of Munich on the edge of the Perlacher and Grünwalder forests. The main village and Deisenhofen, which has the S-Bahn station, hold most of the population; Furth, Laufzorn and Ödenpullach are smaller and further out.

The distances between them are real — which matters more for the price here than the buildings do.

What it costs in Oberhaching

Oberhaching is in zone 3, the surrounding district, so travel is added to the opening — calculated over the whole journey by road from our premises to your address, not from the boundary onwards and not as a flat rate for the municipality. Within a single municipality the routes often differ by several kilometres, so a flat rate would either overcharge you or be unsustainable for us. The calculator shows the amount as its own line.

Google address check
For address suggestions and — only for addresses in zone 3 — for calculating the road distance, the address you enter is transmitted to Google Ireland Limited. Details are in our privacy policy.

The address decides the zone, and the zone is decided by its postcode. In Munich zones 1 and 2 travel is included; in zone 3 we calculate it from the actual driving distance.

Where Oberhaching is

Oberhaching sits south of Munich at the edge of the Perlacher and Grünwalder forests. The main village gathers around the church of St. Stefan and the Rathausplatz; Deisenhofen with the S-Bahn station lies to the east; Furth, Laufzorn and Ödenpullach lie south and west. The main routes are the Münchner Straße, the Bahnhofstraße in Deisenhofen and the Sauerlacher Straße. A business park lies to the north towards Taufkirchen. Taufkirchen adjoins to the north, Brunnthal to the east and Pullach to the west across the Isar valley.

What the buildings are like

In the main village and Deisenhofen, detached, semi-detached and terraced houses from the 1960s to the 1990s predominate, supplemented by individual developments and newer apartment buildings with locking systems. Around the village centres there is older, small-scale building with correspondingly older hardware. Furth, Laufzorn and Ödenpullach are rural, with farms, former agricultural properties and outbuildings whose locks are frequently much older than those on the houses. The business park to the north has commercial premises with their own access arrangements.

Getting to you

Oberhaching is well reached by the A995 and the Münchner Straße. The settlements, however, lie a long way apart: from Deisenhofen to Ödenpullach is several kilometres over country roads. That difference is genuine, and it shows in the travel component because that is calculated from the actual road distance to your address. In the outlying hamlets there is little street lighting and properties are often set back, so a description of the entrance is worth as much as the house number.

What we are usually called for in Oberhaching

  • Front doors of detached houses in Oberhaching and Deisenhofen
  • Rural properties with outbuildings in Furth, Laufzorn and Ödenpullach
  • Secondary and farm buildings with older locking
  • Flat doors in the newer developments with locking systems
  • Office doors in the business park to the north

Questions from Oberhaching

Which part of Oberhaching am I in, and does it matter?

It matters for the journey more than for anything else. Deisenhofen and the main village are close to the motorway and quick; Furth, Laufzorn and Ödenpullach are several kilometres further over country roads. Travel is calculated from the actual road distance to your address, so the calculator prices your journey rather than an average across five settlements. Give the street and house number and it works itself out.

There is no street lighting where I live. How will you find me?

By asking for more than the address, which we do routinely out here. Which settlement, which road we turn off, how far along, what the entrance looks like, whether the drive is shared. Satellite navigation places rural properties in this area in the wrong place with some regularity and there is nothing to correct it by after dark. A photograph of the entrance on WhatsApp settles it completely.

The barn lock is much older than the house lock. Can you open it?

Usually yes — older agricultural locks are mechanically simpler than modern cylinders and open without much difficulty. The problem is more often the door: frames that have settled, hinges that have dropped, corrosion in an unheated building. Where a lock is genuinely finished we say so before opening it rather than leaving you with the same problem next month.
