Neukeferloh is the larger part, and the one nearly touching the city.

Locksmith in Grasbrunn

Grasbrunn lies east of Munich near the A99. As with several municipalities here, the part most people live in is not the one the municipality is named after: Neukeferloh, in the west, is the largest district and almost touches Munich at Trudering.

Grasbrunn itself lies further east, Harthausen southeast, and Möschenfeld is a hamlet on its own. Woodland separates them.

What it costs in Grasbrunn

Grasbrunn is in zone 3, the surrounding district, so travel is added to the opening — calculated over the whole journey by road from our premises to your address, not from the boundary onwards and not as a flat rate for the municipality. Within a single municipality the routes often differ by several kilometres, so a flat rate would either overcharge you or be unsustainable for us. The calculator shows the amount as its own line.

Google address check
For address suggestions and — only for addresses in zone 3 — for calculating the road distance, the address you enter is transmitted to Google Ireland Limited. Details are in our privacy policy.

The address decides the zone, and the zone is decided by its postcode. In Munich zones 1 and 2 travel is included; in zone 3 we calculate it from the actual driving distance.

Where Grasbrunn is

Grasbrunn sits east of Munich near the A99. Neukeferloh, the largest district, lies to the west and nearly adjoins Munich city territory at Trudering. Grasbrunn itself, with the church of St. Ulrich, lies to the east; Harthausen to the southeast; and Möschenfeld is a separate hamlet. The main routes are the Grasbrunner Straße, the Neukeferloher Straße and the link to the A99. A business park lies between Neukeferloh and the motorway. Woodland separates the settlements from one another, which is what makes the distances feel longer than the map suggests. Haar adjoins to the north, Putzbrunn to the south and Kirchheim to the northeast.

What the buildings are like

In Neukeferloh, detached, semi-detached and terraced houses of the 1970s to 1990s predominate, together with individual developments on central locking systems. Grasbrunn and Harthausen are smaller in scale and more rural, with older properties and outbuildings whose locks are frequently much older than those on the houses. Möschenfeld is a hamlet with individual properties. The business park by the motorway has office and commercial buildings with their own access arrangements.

Getting to you

Grasbrunn is reached by the A99 and the Grasbrunner Straße. Neukeferloh lies close to the city boundary and is noticeably quicker to reach than Harthausen or Möschenfeld — a difference of several kilometres over country roads through woodland. That is why travel is calculated from the actual road distance to your address rather than one figure for the municipality. Parking is unproblematic everywhere. Saying which settlement you are in narrows it more than any other single word.

Questions from Grasbrunn

I live in Neukeferloh. Should I say Grasbrunn?

Say Neukeferloh and give the street — it is more precise and gets a technician to the right place. Neukeferloh is a district of the municipality of Grasbrunn and the larger part of it, which regularly confuses deliveries and navigation alike. It is also the nearer part to Munich, so the travel component is lower there than for the main village.

How far apart are the settlements?

Several kilometres, with woodland between them. That is precisely why we calculate travel from the actual road distance to your address rather than applying one rate to the whole municipality — Neukeferloh at the city boundary and Möschenfeld in the fields are genuinely different journeys. The calculator prices yours rather than an average.

My house is in Möschenfeld, which barely appears on maps. Will you find it?

With a little help, yes. Give the hamlet name, the road we turn off, how far along, and what the entrance looks like. Small hamlets in this part of the district are frequently placed inaccurately by satellite navigation, and there is no street lighting to correct it after dark. A photograph of the entrance on WhatsApp removes the problem entirely.
