Compact, almost entirely houses, and against the forest on two sides.

Locksmith in Neuried

Neuried lies southwest of Munich, directly against the city boundary at Fürstenried and Hadern. It is a small, compact municipality and almost entirely residential — houses with gardens, on a regular street pattern, with very little else.

The Forstenrieder Park, a large forest, forms its western and southern edge, which is why the municipality has stayed as small as it is.

What it costs in Neuried

Neuried is in zone 3, the surrounding district, so travel is added to the opening — calculated over the whole journey by road from our premises to your address, not from the boundary onwards and not as a flat rate for the municipality. Within a single municipality the routes often differ by several kilometres, so a flat rate would either overcharge you or be unsustainable for us. The calculator shows the amount as its own line.

Google address check
For address suggestions and — only for addresses in zone 3 — for calculating the road distance, the address you enter is transmitted to Google Ireland Limited. Details are in our privacy policy.

The address decides the zone, and the zone is decided by its postcode. In Munich zones 1 and 2 travel is included; in zone 3 we calculate it from the actual driving distance.

Where Neuried is

Neuried sits southwest of Munich, adjoining the city at Fürstenried and Hadern. The Münchner Straße runs through as the main axis, with the area around the town hall as the local centre. The Forstenrieder Straße, the Gräfelfinger Straße and the Maxhofstraße carry the remaining addresses. The Forstenrieder Park — several square kilometres of woodland — borders the municipality to the west and south and stops it expanding. Gräfelfing adjoins to the north and Planegg to the northwest. The whole place can be crossed in a few minutes, which makes it one of the more predictable addresses in the district.

What the buildings are like

Foto folgt

Almost entirely detached, semi-detached and terraced houses, largely from the 1960s to the 1990s, with newer building on subdivided plots. Plots are medium-sized and houses stand closer to the street than in the villa districts further north. Practically every property has a garage or carport and a garden gate as well as the front door, and terrace and secondary entrances are common. Apartment buildings exist only in small numbers, mostly near the centre. Locking is correspondingly uniform: modern cylinders on the front doors, simpler technology on garages and side entrances.

Getting to you

Neuried adjoins Munich city territory directly and is reached quickly by the Forstenrieder Allee and the Münchner Straße. The municipality is compact, journeys within it are short, and there are no outlying settlements — unusual in this district and helpful for predictability. Parking is unproblematic and it is generally possible to stop directly outside the property. There is no through route through the forest to the west, so the approach always comes from the north or east.

Questions from Neuried

I went out to the garden and the terrace door closed behind me. Is that expensive?

It is the cheapest case there is. A door that merely closed behind you is held only by the spring latch and can usually be opened in under a minute without a mark on it. The time of day affects the price, not the situation. It is also among the most ordinary reasons to call a locksmith at all, so nobody will think it unusual.

Does Neuried cost more because it is outside the city?

No. Travel is calculated from the actual road distance to your address, and Neuried sits directly against the city boundary — closer than several Munich districts. The municipality is also small enough that there is essentially no variation within it, which makes the figure predictable. Enter the address in the calculator and you get it before anyone sets off.

The forest is on two sides. Does that affect the route?

It fixes it: there is no through road through the Forstenrieder Park, so we always approach from the north or east regardless of what a straight line on a map suggests. That is already accounted for in the travel calculation, which uses road distance rather than distance as the crow flies. You are not charged for a route that does not exist.
