Locksmith in Aying

Aying lies in the southeast corner of the district, on the railway towards Rosenheim. Most people outside Bavaria know the name from the brewery. It is farming country: the main village and five or six smaller ones spread across a large area of woodland and moor.

It is the longest journey in our entire service area, and this page says so plainly rather than pretending otherwise.

What it costs in Aying

Aying is in zone 3, the surrounding district, so travel is added to the opening — calculated over the whole journey by road from our premises to your address, not from the boundary onwards and not as a flat rate for the municipality. Within a single municipality the routes often differ by several kilometres, so a flat rate would either overcharge you or be unsustainable for us. The calculator shows the amount as its own line.

Google address check
For address suggestions and — only for addresses in zone 3 — for calculating the road distance, the address you enter is transmitted to Google Ireland Limited. Details are in our privacy policy.

The address decides the zone, and the zone is decided by its postcode. In Munich zones 1 and 2 travel is included; in zone 3 we calculate it from the actual driving distance.

When this price does not apply

  • Security bars or additional locking devices
  • Technically difficult opening: jammed or warped door, broken bolt

  • A situation that turns out to differ from what was described

In these cases our technician quotes the price before starting work, in writing. If you decline, there is no charge.

Where Aying is

Aying lies in the southeast of the Landkreis München on the line towards Rosenheim. The main village, with the brewery and the church of St. Andreas, sits centrally. The villages of Peiß, Großhelfendorf, Kleinhelfendorf, Dürrnhaar and Göggenhofen are spread across the municipal area, several kilometres apart in places. The main routes are the Münchener Straße, the Peißer Straße and the connections towards Sauerlach and Höhenkirchen. Woodland and moor occupy much of the land between the settlements, which is why the distances feel longer than the map suggests and why there is no direct motorway link.

What the buildings are like

Rural and spread across a large area. In all the villages, farms, former agricultural properties and detached houses predominate. Many farms are still worked, with a farmhouse, stables, barns and machinery halls — a kind of building that does not exist in the city at all, and one where the locks vary enormously in age within a single property. Newer housing areas exist at the edges of Aying itself and Großhelfendorf, with conventional modern front doors. Individual farmsteads away from the through roads are common and often have long private drives.

Getting to you

Aying is reached by country roads from Sauerlach, Höhenkirchen or Glonn; there is no direct motorway connection. This is the longest journey in our whole service area, and the travel component reflects that — calculated from the actual road distance to your address, as everywhere. We would rather tell you that on the phone than have you discover it on the invoice. If your situation can wait until morning, it will cost you meaningfully less, and we will say so.

What we are usually called for in Aying

  • House and yard doors at working and former farms
  • Stable, barn and machinery hall doors with older locking
  • Individual farmsteads away from the through roads, with long drives
  • Detached houses in the newer areas of Aying and Großhelfendorf
  • Garages, cart sheds and outbuildings

Questions from Aying

Is it worth calling you out this far?

Sometimes not, and we will tell you which. Aying is the longest journey we make, so the travel component is the highest in our area — that is arithmetic rather than a surcharge for being rural. If nobody is at risk and you can wait until business hours, the time band alone saves a substantial amount. If you have a neighbour with a spare key, that saves all of it. We would rather say this than take a night call-out you did not need.

The farm has stables and barns with very old locks. Can you open those?

Usually yes, and older agricultural locks are often mechanically simpler than a modern cylinder. The typical difficulty is not the lock but the door: settled frames, corrosion in an unheated building, hinges that have dropped over decades. Where a lock is genuinely at the end of its life we will say so rather than opening it and leaving you with the same problem next month. A photograph on WhatsApp tells us more than any description of a hundred-year-old door.

My farmstead is not on a through road. How will you find it?

By asking for more than the address. Which village it is counted as, which road we leave, how far along, what the entrance looks like, whether the drive is shared. In this part of the district satellite navigation regularly places individual farmsteads in the wrong field, and there is no street lighting to correct it. Two minutes on the phone about this saves twenty minutes of driving down farm tracks.
